You may like to know that in April this year I spent a wonderful two weeks in Scotland, and then (a) revised the section on Strathnaver, and (b) added sections on several other abandoned communities in your country, including Strathcarron, partially cleared in the 1840s and 1850s.  If you would like to take a look I would suggest starting at www.abandonedcommunities.co.uk/page140.html, ignoring the place at the top of that page.
